How to Write a Real Estate Agent Bio That Wins Calls

Your bio is often the last page someone reads before calling. A simple structure beats a list of adjectives.

Most agent bios read the same: passionate, dedicated, results-driven, going the extra mile. None of it tells a stranger why to call you. A good bio does three things — establishes that you know this market, shows you have done this before, and makes it easy to reach out.

A structure that works

  1. One line on who you help. "I help first-time buyers in North York" beats "serving all your real estate needs." Specific is memorable; general is invisible.
  2. Proof. Years in the business, areas you actually work, a number if you have one — homes sold, families helped, average days on market.
  3. How you work. What a client can expect from you. Do you answer evenings? Do you talk people out of bad offers? This is where personality belongs.
  4. Something human. One genuine line — you coach a team, you renovated your own place, you moved here yourself. It makes you a person, not a headshot.
  5. A clear next step. Phone, email, or a booking link. Do not make someone hunt.

What to cut

Adjectives with no evidence behind them. Third-person writing if it feels stiff. Awards nobody outside the industry recognises. Anything you would not say out loud at a listing appointment.

If you are new

Do not fake experience — it is transparent and it costs you trust. Lead with what is genuinely true: the brokerage supporting you, the training behind you, the neighbourhood you know because you live in it, and the responsiveness you can absolutely promise. New agents often win on attention, and saying so is more persuasive than implying a track record you do not have.

Write it for two audiences

If you work in a bilingual market, your bio should exist in English and French — properly written, not machine-translated. A francophone reader can tell the difference immediately, and it is often the moment they decide whether you will really serve them in their language. See bilingual real estate marketing.

AgentsWise gives you a bio field per language, rendered by the visitor's language, plus testimonials and a photo on every template. Browse templates.
